Thanks Aditya for sharing your thoughts . Concise , Precise and Candid . I have been holding IDFC for long . Just betting on Vaidyanathan sir .Taking back the capital and will keep the profit invested .As of now will continue to HOLD
Whoa! great piece. Loved the fact u focussed on the story and soft issues rather than marinating us in numbers as most other analysts and news pieces tend to do.
Great analysis! Anyone familiar with the history of management would likely avoid investing in this stock. It reflects a narrative of personal glorification and an attempt to restore one's self-esteem. While bankers can easily scale up their loan books, recovering that money during a downturn is a skill mastered by only a few.
Thanks Aditya for sharing this, as a new investor, I have been trusting the confidence with which management has said they will turn it around but these are creditable areas of concern, some of which is industry wide now. Can you confirm if you feel there are some peers of similar size which you feel will do better than IDFC.. also would love to see an article on Tata Power. Feel jittery about it as an investor, would love some clarity.
Hi, I have limited coverage over banking sector and there aren't similar size peers on my radar actually.
On Tata Power, it is true that energy space has been one of most hardly hit space and it has negatively impacted returns & it is also a big holding of mine. Though I continue to hold on there, and if I publish a blog there again I shall update.
